The Striation Collection body of work is inspired by the colorful cliff formations at Pictured Rocks National Park in Michigan. I tried to capture the striation of colors that decorate the sandstone along the clear blue water – streaks of turquoise, rusty oranges, and white that adore the landscape. The colors aren't exact, but it's my interpretation of what I experience and see.
